"Sleep is better than brandy," says old folk wisdom, and experts do not dispute it. A person should thus need 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day. And just 14 days with six hours of sleep should be enough for our body to start to feel as if we had 0.1 ppm of alcohol in our blood (source: AsapSCIENCE).
A recent study even suggests that it is just six hours of sleep is almost as harmful as none at all. This is true, of course, if getting six hours of sleep is the norm, not the exception (source: US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health). Someone once said he would sleep when he was dead. Well, really, huh rather, it's nice to at least have a quality life.
Why did I devote a few words to sleep in the editorial this time? I admit, she led me to this clock change – it gets dark earlier, so I kind of lose track of time and go to bed even a little earlier – as well as the fact that, well, I hate to admit it now, I'm much more rested and that my mother is finally right. But that's not the point at all: the point is that sleep is really valuable, even if you've heard it a thousand times, even if it's already a cliché. To sleep or not to sleep, that is NOT the question here.
This time too, a lot of interesting content awaits you in the new issue of our freebie: events that will take you away in happy December, a fashion fairy tale Ljubljana Fashion Week, news from the world technology and mobility, interview with architect Primož Jeza, which, together with the company Donar, is one of the eight finalists from all over Europe for the EuropaDesign award, beauty tips, which will alleviate the redness, and we could go on and on. I wish you a pleasant reading and I hope to see you at the lighting of the magic lights!
