An American group with an interesting name was formed at the end of the nineties. They got their name from the hypothesis of a teacher at the prestigious Harvard University, who gave a lecture on technology, its exponential development and humanity's attitude to the rapid development of technology... According to him, we are only thirty seconds from Mars. The Phantoms found the hypothesis very interesting, even more so because it can be used as a comparison for their music. The singer and guitarist of the group is none other than the successful Hollywood actor Jared Leto. The group also consists of his brother Shannon Leto, who plays drums, and Tomo Miličević on guitar, but they do not have a bass player and a keyboardist as regular members. On tours, they are accompanied by Tim Kelleher on bass and Braxton Olita on keyboards and rhythm guitar. They called their first album 30 Seconds to Mars and released it in 2002. Three years later, the second album A Beautiful Lie followed and then many more awards and recognitions. In 2008, they received the Kerrang and MTV Music Awards. Last year, the band released a new album and titled it This Is War. They got great reviews. They are currently on a European tour. They will perform closest to us in Bologna.
