33rd SOF featuring exclusive international speakers, artificial intelligence and the future of digital media

The most important event of the advertising industry will take over the Auditorium in Portorož between June 6 and 7, 2024, and will be served by the illustrious names of the international advertising industry. Guest appearances include graphic design icon Timothy Goodman, global marketer and Amazon bestselling author Amélie Ebongué, as well as Jaime Cooke from the world's leading media and entertainment company, Warner Brothers Discovery. The 33rd Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF) will once again provide creative content, in-depth lectures and highlight the best names in the Slovenian advertising sphere during its two days of hosting.

This year's SOF, which has been held since the very beginning under auspices of the Slovenian Chamber of Advertising, highlights the most current questions of the advertising world and seeks answers with the help of internationally recognized speakers: Do you feel like you have to create a lot before you can create works that reflect you? An American will discuss this Timothy Goodman, artist, graphic designer and author. Regardless of whether making the cover of Time magazine, launches sneakers for Nike or writes graphic memoirs, Timothy opens debates on taboo topics. You can join him at SOF for an inspiring talk where he will try to redefine what it means to work in the creative industry.

A French woman is coming to SOF Amélie Ebongué, global marketer, multidisciplinary writer and researcher. Like digital network expert will also talk about the application TikTok, which is changing the world we live in among new generations. Her book on the TikTok generation is an Amazon bestseller, and Amélie will highlight the key elements for effective content and the best strategies she has created for world-renowned brands at SOF.

Are we saturated with content in the modern world? Expert for creative efficiency powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Ian Forrester from the company DAVID, Great Britain, will entrust us with ways, how to stop bad ads and stop flooding the internet with stupid ads. About the benefits of artificial intelligence and the revolution of marketing strategies of the future will also discuss Senad Kulenović from Croatia, experienced consultant and managing partner at Agilcon. Senad will illustrate the tangible benefits of artificial intelligence applications in marketing, and address the challenges and ethical aspects inherent in its implementation.

Streaming is undoubtedly the future of entertainment, but who will ultimately win the streaming war? Jaime Cooke senior vice president of the group and general manager at Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will take us behind the scenes and reveal how WBD is ambitiously planning to become one of the top three streaming service providers in the next 3-5 years.

Appearances can also be deceiving. He will talk about it Tom Hidvéga from Great Britain, a creative strategist and the company's former senior director of creative strategy Coca-Cola, who is convinced that we need to go beyond surface impressions and delve deeper into methodologies that allow us to understand our audience. Tom will show you how using simple logic and creative magic to restore order from chaos, which he will also try to conjure up at SOF with an exciting performance.

You will be able to listen at SOF stories from the cheeky world of New York agencies and practical solutions to contemporary problems, which he will entrust to us Julian Cole from Australia, one leading international strategists of our time, which tries to overcome toxic agency policies with the help of good communication strategies.

The world is changing all the time, can we even keep up with it in a creative sense? Mihnea Gheorghiu from Italy, with more than 90 Cannes Lions Awarded Chief Global Creative Director at Le Pub Agency, will entrust us with the recipe for great creative solutions that follow a rapidly changing culture.

SOF presents itself with sustainable solutions this year as well, and within the framework of a colorful round table there will be a conversation about sustainability with integrity, which is becoming the new mainstream of brands. They will present themselves in the discussion Mojca Markizeti, sustainability expert and founder of Improve X Advisors, Mateo Benedetti, director and founder, Benedetti Life and Nika Veger, sustainability influencer and blogger. As a sign of sustainability, cashless operations will be carried out during the festival, and SOF continues to follow its mission to remain a festival with as little waste as possible.

It will be a unique event performance of Borut Pahor, the President of the Republic of Slovenia (2012-2022) and the founder and director of the Friends of the Western Balkans Institute, who will talk in the style of a MASTERCARD® podcast of inspiration with one of the most successful individuals in Slovenia, and his name remains a surprise at the moment.

At SOF you will also learn, What is the future of Slovenian media in the digital environment and Or more people create more problems (Luka Pregelj, founder and director, Quantifly), as well as, How the advertising code overhaul is changing the advertising game (Jaka Repanšek, president of the Advertising Tribunal). You will also witness a conversation spectacle prepared by the agency Pristop s composer Anžet Rozman (Bleeding fingers Music), which belongs to the world's top film music composers.
