On the contrary, it is only 3 percent traits showed a tendency to combine opposites.

Previous models believed that choosing a life partner was random, but new insights show that humans are very deliberate in looking for certain characteristics in our partners.

1. Political and religious beliefs

2. Level of education and intelligence quotient
