Perhaps you are also one of those who go to the cinema more rarely, because we diligently "abuse" the piracy offered on the Internet. Therefore, going to the cinema nowadays requires more effort or courage and the whole experience has to be worth it. With quite a few (too many) novelties that we also inform you about, the choice is even more difficult. We have prepared a selection of five films that you must see this year.
1. Interstellar (2014)
Christopher Nolan proved that with the film Interstellar he easily runs over the "Spielbergian" level of excitement for a new sci-fi adventure. A returnee Matthew McConaughey take the lead in an epic adventure about a daring thought into space to save the future of humanity. Enough ideas, action and surprisingly, emotions to grab you for the whole 169 minutes.
In Slovenia, the film will only be shown in Cankar's home from November 6 to 10.
2. Redirected (2014)
Redirected is a comedy, action-drama and thriller in the style of "hangover-meets-guy-ritchie" with a characteristic flavor of Eastern European exoticism and which, of course, would not be so "British" without Vinnie Jones. It tells the story of four friends, inexperienced criminals, who accidentally get stuck in the middle of nowhere, in an Eastern European country, and make their way back through the land of whores, smugglers, dirty cops, cheap beer and sick fantasies.
In Slovenia, it will be shown in the Coliseum from October 30.
3. The Imitation Game (2014)
A film directed by a Norwegian director Morten Tyldum, based on the true life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing. It portrays the race against time experienced by Turing and his brilliant team of Codebreakers at the secret British Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park during the darkest days of World War II. Benedict Cumberbatch however, he perfectly and enthusiastically revives the martyred genius back to life - there are even whispers of an Oscar nomination.

4. The Drop (2014)
Lonely bartender Bob Saginowski finds himself at the center of a heist gone wrong and becomes embroiled in an investigation that digs deep into the past of a neighborhood where friends, family, and enemies do whatever it takes to survive. Tom Hardy shines as a Brooklyn bartender who reluctantly launders money for local gangsters.
5. Hoje Eu Quero Voltar Sozinho – The Way He Looks (2014)
The Brazilian film features a blind teenager, Leonardo, who deals with an overprotective mother while trying to live a more independent life. To the disappointment of her best friend Giovane, she wants to go on an exchange program abroad. When Gabriel comes into his life, new feelings are awakened in Leonardo, which put his plans in jeopardy.
