Summer is vacation time and it often happens that we are left alone in the city, while our friends happily soak their feet in the salt water or cool off in the mountain air. But that doesn't mean we have to be bored. The city of Ljubljana offers quite a few summer joys that can be enjoyed both in company and alone. So what to do in Ljubljana when everyone is on vacation?
1. We can cool off at the new Kolezija swimming pool or at one of the other Ljubljana swimming pools.
Kolezija Bath is built on the site of a former bathhouse. The construction of the renovated swimming pool began in 2014 and was completed in July 2015. The building is designed on one level and includes the ground floor and one basement floor. The outdoor pool complex includes an Olympic and children's pool, a splash pad, a massage pool and a poolside platform with wooden deckchairs. There are also sports and recreation areas with table tennis tables, a basketball court and a beach volleyball court. "Having a cafe" on the tallest building in the center of Ljubljana while admiring the view? If we don't have the answers to these questions, then it's high time to get to know our Ljubljana better. At the end of this "tourist" day, we can treat ourselves to a picnic in Tivoli Park and finish the tour of the city on the green spaces and in the shade of the trees.
5. Let's spoil ourselves with lunch or dinner on one of the beautiful romantic terraces in Ljubljana.
Summer is mostly served with beautiful sunny days (and unfortunately also with some rainy weeks) and this is exactly the reason why we should not stay inside our homes. For the finishing touch, we can go to a nice restaurant with a terrace, where we can experience the benefits of the good weather even more deeply. Even the evenings are warm and pleasant and suitable for our sexiest toilets. Let's treat ourselves to a great lunch or dinner now and then - you only live once.
