The year is almost over and we are back to being jazz lovers. We are looking forward to a very interesting, fifty-second Ljubljana Jazz Festival, which will really impress us with its program. Both excellent domestic and foreign musicians will present themselves to us. Zlatko Kaučič with her new project Polje, Robert Jukič with the project Operation Charlie, Igor Lumpert Trio, Mia Žnidarič and many others will represent the local lodges. Also performing will be William Parker, American Farmers By Nature with Craig Taborn, William Parker and Gerald Cleaver, American-Turkish connection in the group Ilhan Ersahin's Istanbul Sessions, Bernardo Sassetti Trio from Portugal and many others. The festival will be closed by the excellent Maria João. She will be joined on stage by Mário Laginha, with whom they have been collaborating for almost three decades. During this time, they released quite a variety of very different projects. Their solo careers are also varied in character and with considerable influence on the specific emotional sound for which they are famous. A varied jazz event will take place in various locations around Ljubljana. Get your tickets in time, as some of them are free of charge, while others may sell out soon.
