No one feels good when stressful times occur. Have you ever wondered what you can learn from them? Do they hide something positive in themselves? Can they really point you in the right direction?
Sometimes we don't know why certain things happen, but over time we realize that they had to happen, and that they happened with the intention of guiding us on the right path.
What are those stressful moments that make us learn exactly the lessons we need at a given moment to become stronger and continue on the right path. The path that is meant for us.
Let's look at some such paths that may have directed your life.
1. When the person you thought would be with you knowingly left
The moment you break up with someone, you feel like your world has come crashing down. You think your world has collapsed and you will never be able to move on. Breakups create temporary ruins. Even though you then lose your way and suddenly feel like everything is falling apart, you don't know yet that this experience is actually building you up. After such an experience, you realize that most people in your life are only temporary. Learn to recognize what and what kind of person you really need in your life.
2. When you were first fired from your job
Getting fired is a very stressful experience for anyone, even if you weren't happy with your job. You start asking yourself questions about yourself. You feel like you're worthless. However, you are subconsciously learning through this setback. You start looking for your true path. You think about what you really want to do with your life.
"Everyone should be fired at least once in their career. It's important to have setbacks because there is no such thing as perfection." Anna Wintour
3. That time when you feel like no one likes or understands you
One day, everything you say and do is wrong. Everything is wrong, you fight with everyone, you feel like you're losing friends, and that everything bad that happens is your fault. But it's not like that. It's normal to argue with the people you love sometimes.
Subconsciously, you realize that the people you love the most are sometimes the reason why you don't grow, because contentment breeds stagnation. When you fall, it creates room for personal growth. Sometimes it takes a fall to start appreciating yourself and the people around you.
4. That time you gave up the activity you thought was your love
You may have invested months, years of effort and time in order to achieve what you set out to do. But over time, you didn't feel that enthusiasm anymore, like you used to. Maybe you thought it would be easier for you or certain situations came up that made this development impossible.
Sometimes things just aren't meant to be. You are in the wrong place and it is time to accept it and process it. This unpleasant realization usually means finding another – the right direction.
5. That time you let someone you love down
We have all been hurt at some point and we all hurt other people at some point. Human nature is such that we have all disappointed someone before, without meaning or purpose. However, this discomfort with disappointment is part of growing into the person you are meant to become.
When you hurt someone you love, learn how to become a better person and how to turn your regret into a positive one. Although at the time it seems like you are the worst person in the world, it actually makes you realize the depth of your faults and how to live with them.
6. When you let yourself down - yourself
When you're disappointed in yourself, it's one of the worst feelings in the world. Disappointing other people is something you can live with and can apologize for and put behind you.
But forgiving yourself is much more difficult. You have to face a lot of demons that you didn't even know you had and that are preventing you from loving yourself.
Self-disappointment is usually what leads to self-love and an unforgettable journey into your reality, into your self. You can achieve anything if you find self-love.
