Ever since the first Ljubljana Sparkling Wine Salon, the organizers have followed their mission - spreading the culture of drinking wine and good food. In the heart of the capital, this year you will once again enjoy the wines of 40 winemakers, who will present around 120 different wines. In addition to enjoying a drop of wine, you will also be able to taste selected food that pairs perfectly with sparkling wines. Various events, workshops and guided tastings are also an integral part of the 6th Ljubljana Sparkling Wine Salon. As part of the SSW network, an international evaluation of sparkling wines will also take place.
6. Salon of sparkling wines Ljubljana will be this year located in a new location, namely all wine lovers will enjoy Hotel Slon, which, as the organizers say, offers excellent conditions for presenting sparkling wines at the highest level and is at the same time attractive and interesting for (domestic and foreign) visitors.
The idea of the 6th Ljubljana Sparkling Wine Salon is connect producers, traders and distributors of domestic and foreign sparkling wines present on the Slovenian market and present them at the event. It will also be presented this year 40 winemakers (with a total of 100 to 120 wines) at uniformed exhibition stands.
Part of the salon is dedicated to the selection of products cuisine that pairs perfectly with sparkling wines. They are also an integral part of the salon events, workshops and guided tastings.
It will also be held as part of the SSW network international evaluation of sparkling wines ‒ winemakers will compete for a prize The best sparkling wine in each salon and The best sparkling wine among all the salons.
This year too, the organizers have joined forces with neighboring Croatia, so you will be able to enjoy sparkling wines twice - February 1 in Croatia and February 15, 2019 in Hotel Slon. Tickets are already in pre-sale.
