There is nothing more embarrassing than coming to work in a wrinkled t-shirt or dress. Or going on a business trip and pulling a crumpled jacket out of your suitcase only to discover that there is no iron in the hotel room. Every now and then we all need a quick iron before we walk out the door.
No iron? No problem! Here we offer you some effective ways to help yourself with this.
1. Use a hair straightener
Before styling your hair, heat up a flat iron and use it to smooth out the creases on your shirt. It is especially effective on the collar, cuffs and the part of the shirt where the buttonholes are.
2. Press the creases away
There are quite a few products on the market that can be used to straighten wrinkled clothes. Spray the garment lightly with this agent and wait for it to air dry.
3. Hang the clothes under the steam shower
The steam from the shower will help you remove wrinkles from your clothes. Run hot water from the shower to create steam in the bathroom and leave your crumpled clothes in there for a few minutes. However, be careful not to get the clothes too wet.
4. Use a hair dryer
Your hair dryer can smooth out wrinkles on your clothes. The gust of cold air will effectively smooth out small wrinkles on clothes, which are caused, for example, by a hanger.
5. Use a dryer
Newer dryers often have a steam cycle that you can use to straighten wrinkled laundry.
6. Buy a good steam iron
A steam iron is definitely the fastest and most efficient way to iron crumpled laundry. Its advantage is that it is easier to use than a regular iron, as it heats up quickly and can be used on all types of clothing.
