6 ways to protect yourself from colds and flu

Everyone's unwelcome flu and cold season is already knocking on the door. When we get sick, time stops, hours seem like weeks, weeks seem like months. We can forget about recreation and hanging out with friends, because we are doomed to rest.

There is definitely a time ahead of us when we must be especially careful so that something worse does not happen to us. Therefore, let's wait for it armed with natural remedies and deal with the inconvenience of colds and flu once and for all. So how do you fend off the first signs of colds and flu?

1. Vitamin C

Vitamin C successfully reduces the duration of a cold, but it cannot prevent the symptoms by itself. Consume at least 70 mg of it per day. Enjoy as many citrus fruits, pineapples, cabbage and broccoli as possible.

2. Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is one of the most fragrant natural cold treatment options. One of its forms is inhalation, which is prepared by adding 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to 100 ml of hot water. Then bring your face closer to the container, cover your head with a towel and inhale. Do not exaggerate the amount of oil, and inhalation should not last more than 5 minutes. In addition to inhalation, essential oils can be used in many possible ways. We can use them to scent handkerchiefs, gargle a mixture of tea tree essential oil and water, and a bath in which we add a few drops of motherwort essential oil will also help us during a cold.

3. American straw man

American hay is considered one of the best natural ways to fight the common cold. The recommended dose to ward off colds is 20 drops of tincture and warm water up to five times a day.

4. Let's get some sleep

Sleep is vital for our health. Studies show that people who sleep less than seven hours a day get sick much earlier than those who indulge in at least eight hours of dreaming a night.

5. Let's eat food that improves our immune resistance

Yogurt, garlic, green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, oatmeal, salmon and nuts will definitely help us feel better.

6. Drink enough liquid

Sufficient hydration is key to our optimal well-being. If the water doesn't smell, tea or fruit juices will also help you feel better. We recommend that you look at the drinks shelves in stores and choose those juices that contain vitamins and plant extracts for well-being. Be careful to choose those that have a high fruit content and do not contain added sugars.
