On 7th biennale of Slovenian puppet makers this time, the best Slovenian puppet shows will be presented, selected by mag. Uroš Trefalta, who, among other things, wrote in his explanation that it took a long time for Slovenian puppetry to prove that its expressive possibilities are different, special and unique, and that the use of a wide variety of puppetry techniques proves the true perception of puppetry art and the realization of its inexhaustibility. The Biennale sets itself the task of presenting Slovenian puppet creation to a wider domestic and international professional public, where knowledge and experience are exchanged, the most interesting content is displayed and the best creations are awarded. In the competition and accompanying program, it will be possible to see many performances, including Janček Ježek as an example of a unique play, Bestiaires as a comprehensive and attractive performance, Laila as an example of the most visually meaningful performance, Luknja as the most absurdly noisy performance, Kocke as the closest performance to children, and The Man Who Planted Trees as an example of the most personally confessional, intimate performance. At the same time, two exhibitions will be opened as part of the biennial, namely Erudit by Zlatko Bourek and Pionirji from the fund of the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. The latter represents three pioneers of post-war Slovenian puppetry, doll designers - Ajša Pengov, Mara Kraljeva and Slavko Hočevar. Ticket price: 5 euros for children's and youth performances and exhibitions, and 10 euros for adult performances.
