We can make millions and still be poor!
"What's one thing you regret not realizing sooner?" is a question that appeared on Quora, a site where knowledge is acquired and shared and where people are allowed to learn from others and better understand the world. He answered this question best Andrew Ferebee, founder of the website Knowledge for Men and author of bestselling books such as The Dating Playbook for Men: A Proven 7 Step System to Go from Single to the Woman of Your Dreams.

There are many things I wish I had known sooner. Here are 7 of the most important.
1. Life is not fair. Get over it!
People will play tricks on you. The business will fail. Innocent people will starve and the guilty will continue to walk free. Bad things happen to good people and bad people get what they want.
Life isn't fair!
But there is nothing you can do about it. So, get over it! If you waste time complaining about the world you live in, you are preventing yourself from changing it.
If you see an injustice, take action to correct it. But for God's sake, stop complaining about it. We don't live in a just universe. You can get over it and try to create an amazing life despite the injustices. Or allow yourself to be broken.
The choice is yours!
2. It's not about how much you earn, but how much you save
You can make millions and still be poor.
It doesn't matter how much money you make, it matters how much money you save. Always try to save at least 10 percent or more of your income. Not for rainy days, but for when you get the chance. The more money you have in your savings account, the faster you can act when needed.
3. Choose yourself
No one is going to give you permission to make your dreams come true. You have to choose this yourself. You have to believe in yourself and dare to try to achieve what you want. Stop waiting for someone else to give you the green light for your goals. Go and reach them! Be strong, grounded and follow your dreams.
After all, it's your dream!
4. Ignore 99 percent of the advice others give you
Most people are full of advice. That doesn't mean they don't mean well, but they've never achieved the result you want, so they can't advise you on how to proceed.
The golden rule of mentoring is simple: if it's a person you'd never trade your life with, don't take their advice. Dot.
5. Your character is your result
If your results are bad, it's because you are bad yourself. If you improve, your results will improve.
If you're broke, stressed, and angry, it's because you haven't (yet) developed the character to make money, control your emotions, and live an extraordinary life. Your results show your character. Fix your character and the results will follow.
6. Speak your truth or regret living a lie
There is a misconception today that not lying is the same as living the truth.
Let me explain… If you don't state your truth one hundred percent, then you are living a lie. If you don't tell people how you feel, if you're not honest about your needs, if you're ashamed of yourself, then you're lying to yourself and to others. We should always share the truth with compassion and sensitivity. But you MUST share it.
7. You won't find your purpose in a relationship
You are your own person. You will never find meaning and purpose in a relationship with someone else. When you do, you will cling to your partner, become desperate, and lose yourself. Don't do that.
A good relationship is a mutual exchange of values. That doesn't mean it has to be 50/50. It means that you need to be an individual with your own goals, dreams, ambitions that come together to help fuel your partner's life.
Have your own purpose and passions outside of the relationship, or you'll be stuck in codependency forever starving for love.
