The birth of a child is a special moment in the life of every man. In order for a father to raise his son or daughter as successfully as possible, he sometimes has to lie.
Innocent lies like that we don't have chocolate at home are not a bad thing. But there are also lies that we don't want to admit to ourselves that we told.
1. I love my new baby.
A new baby brings many new worries into the life of parents. It's true that fathers will do anything to protect him, but that doesn't mean they cheer him every time they see him. Namely, fathers are often somewhat afraid of new responsibilities, which is why they see the child, at least in the first few months of his life, primarily as an obligation.
2. My wife is the love of my life.
The wife was the love of the man with whom she is in a relationship, but after the birth of the children, that changed. Women think the same as men. Although there are many prettier women walking around, most men will take care of their family.
3. I will be happy to participate in a 'play date'.
Play dates are for children. Parents of different children arrange a meeting where their children have the opportunity to play. Dads don't usually like spending the afternoon hanging out with people they don't know well.
4. I'm glad men don't get pregnant.
Many men would like to taste what it's like to have a biological bond with a creature that cries into the world after nine months of development. Given that women often complain about how stressful pregnancy is, they tend to keep it to themselves.
5. We need a vacation.
After the birth of a child, you will not be able to afford a carefree vacation for the next 20 years. Even if we occasionally go on a one-week trip by plane, it does not mean that we have taken a break from the daily routine. That is why many men would simply like to lock themselves in the house.
6. I could not imagine life without children.
A life without children would mean a life without an abundance of worries. Imagine how many gray hairs you would have saved if you had not taken on the role of father. You could also read the newspaper to the end, enjoy resting in a clean and quiet living room... We love our children, but that doesn't mean we're happy for them every time they appear.
7. Fatherhood has not changed me.
Of course, this statement can be called a huge lie. With the birth and upbringing of a child, fathers become more and more mature. The time they have at their disposal becomes more valuable than ever, so it must be used appropriately. A career in office suddenly isn't as important as it once was.
8. I have never peed in the sink.
It must have happened to you that you used the sink to relieve yourself. Waiting for the toilet seat to clear can be overwhelming.
