A salt mine that has become an attractive underground museum

Rudnik soli
salt mine

Salina Turda is a salt mine in Romania that has been turned into the largest museum of its kind in the world. It was written somewhere that even Jules Verne would be jealous.

When they "renovate" a salt mine of enormous size, it is created the largest museum in the world, which shows what was happening in salt mine, but at the same time it also satisfies the more active with numerous activities underground. Salina Turda it has a long history, salt was mined here already in ancient times. It is quite fascinating that today the mine is accessible to everyone and offers a true journey to the center of the earth. Perhaps we are exaggerating a little, but it is still a very special project, which will be best described by photos. The whole thing seems quite futuristic, maybe a scene even reminds a little of Star Trek. The journey itself and the arrival at the bottom of the cave with an elevator, glass of course, is fascinating.

It is actually a group of three caves, the lowest reaches to 120 meters underground. The trendy tourist attraction invites visitors to a romantic underground boat ride, a game of table tennis, bowling, mini golf... The key element that creates all this atmosphere is thoughtful lighting. In doing so, we cannot pass by all the natural "cave" beauties that we can admire. And as if all that wasn't a good enough reason, the best is yet to come. A visit to Saline Turda is almost a "must", as it is nevertheless healing. The mine has a unique microclimate with stable temperatures and humidity, and Salina Turda is also a halotherapy center. For treatment (and fun) with salt.
