A1 Slovenia has developed a new internet and television service, the first of its kind on the market. It is intended primarily for households that do not have access to a broadband network for various reasons. It is a new technology characterized by speed, convenience and simplicity.
With the covid pandemic, if not before, we realized how important it is good digital equipment at home and a good connection to the world wide web. At a time when we are dealing with the increased scope of remote work, as many as 270,000 Slovenian households do not have the appropriate infrastructure or financial ability to connect to a broadband network. In addition, connection requires a lot of waiting - on average as many as 36 days - and interventions in the walls of the home, i.e. drilling and installing cables. Therefore, users often have no choice but to put up with the use of a standard xDSL line, which even at low loads reaches an average speed of only 20 Mb/s.
