On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Projekt Virus organizes the campaign "I want to play it safe".
Public health preventive action will be organized this year for the sixteenth time in a row, and its main purpose is to raise awareness of sexually transmitted infections with an emphasis on the HIV/AIDS virus and HPV viruses, reproductive health and motivation for responsible sexual behavior. They want to include all generations of individuals in the campaign, the campaign will take place all over Slovenia, and most of the events will take place in Ljubljana.
The main part of the campaign will take place on November 29, when volunteers will inform and raise awareness among individuals in a fun and simple way throughout the day on Prešeren square in the capital. They will also set up a temporary cafe where passers-by can drink coffee and chat about sexuality. The purpose of this, according to the organizers, is to encourage individuals to think critically.
This year's novelty is that passers-by will also be invited to HIV testing, which will take place on the premises Institute for Health Protection. With this, they want to promote testing and eliminate prejudices before it. Stands will also be set up, passers-by will be able to get brochures with information, condoms, mascots - condoms - will walk around town and animate passers-by.
