When golf becomes haute couture

Close your eyes and imagine: morning dew on the green, vintage silhouettes, 80s details and street fashion that dares to take on the sport of the aristocracy. adidas Originals Golf is here – and golf will never be the same again.

Now we can say: golf is no longer reserved for dads in khakis and sweaty baseball caps. adidas is with a new collection Originals Golf literally took his iconic fashion heritage and sent it down the fairway – with so much charm that even Anna Wintour stopped on the 9th hole for a selfie.

Trefoil is back – and wearing cashmere

The collection, which launches exclusively on April 3rd, brings the classic adidas Trefoil logo back to life – this time in the form of sleek polo shirts, sophisticated silhouettes and sneakers that could easily be worn to a Parisian brunch. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch them on Ludvig Åberg – adidas’ golf star who now wears more style than Tiger Woods in his prime.

Men's collection: an aristocrat with a touch of Brooklyn

Forget boring golf pants – new ones pleated pants from the collection are statement piecePair them with a knitted polo shirt with a jacquard argyle pattern, and voilà – the transformation from golfer to fashion visionary is complete.

Add more:

  • Mercerized Archive Polo, which shines brighter than your future,
  • Full-Zip Jacket with a foldable hood (because weather is only fashionable if you know how to layer),
  • and cashmere sweater, which is essentially a greeting from the Scottish Highlands – with a German design accent.

Footwear: vintage with a vision

Shoes are a story in themselves – and this story smells like a retro perfume from the 80s, with a modern undertone and nothing less than functional art:

  • COURSE CUP is a reinterpretation of adidas' 1986 Gold Cup model. Leather, wingtip details and a removable kiltie (because every pair of shoes deserves its own Chanel bag).
  • Gazelle Golf: yes, this legendary silhouette now walks the greens with an EVA sole and waterproof suede – because who says comfort and chic don't go hand in hand?
  • And of course, updated Stan Smith Golf, Samba Golf and special edition Superstar Golf in a fresh palette of white, green and yellow. When you step inside, you will hear that invisible crowd say: Yaaas, queen of the course!

Accessories: because style never rests

The bag Harry Styles would carry (if he played golf), premium leather gloves, towels, belts, headcovers – every piece of accessory exudes a thoughtful aesthetic. And because we know that details make the whole, every piece looks like it's part of an editorial in the September issue.

Golf, a la mode

Shaun Madigan, global head of apparel for adidas Golf, said the collection was created as a tribute to heritage and contemporary culture. But we know it's actually a subtle revolution - a quiet protest against the boredom that has reigned in golf for too long.

The collection is exclusively available at adidas.com, in the adidas app and at selected retailers. So, the question is no longer or you'll wear adidas on the golf course, but – Are you ready for all the looks you'll attract with it?
