All visitors to the Norwegian fjords, more precisely the Akrafjorden fjord, are richer for the wonderful mountain or hunting lodge of the same name, which is located in the heart of wild nature. In spite of the fact that the shelter took only 35 square meters of space from nature, thanks to the ingenious arrangement of the beds, which are also seats, it can offer overnight accommodation to as many as 21 visitors to the fjord. They are arranged in a circle around the floating fireplace. The roof is covered with moss, and the house is clad in stone and wood to blend in with the idyllic and untouched surroundings.
Hunting lodge Akrafjorden is the work of an architectural office Snøhetta and is accessible only to pedestrians and horses. Thanks to the twisted design of the house (made of steel beams), which moss is growing and surround local wood and stone, practically blends into the idyllic surroundings with a lake on the doorstep and high mountains in the background, and despite its small size offers a refuge 21 guests.

In order for the Akrafjorden hunting lodge to be able to offer shelter to as many people as possible in such a small space, the architects took as their muse former farm residence, where the hearth was the central space of the house. There we find floating fireplace, and in addition to the entrance, there are also tea kitchen and space for equipment.
