The exhibition is the result of Spain's participation in the 25th Alexandria Biennale and presents the works of two well-known Spanish contemporary artists, Rómulo Roy and Valerian López. The central theme of the biennale was the influence of the globalized world in crisis on artistic creation. The two Spanish artists thus addressed contemporary problems such as torture, the double meaning of illegal migrants and the drama of war and its consequences. The Spanish exhibition at the Biennale in Alexandria was very well received. The jury awarded Valerian López with the Top Balsa award for his work, while the curator of the exhibition, Manuel Romero, received an honorary award.
