They were founded on Human Rights Day, December 10, 1988, in the Prešeren Theater in Kranj, on the initiative of the barely 16-year-old Suzana Dewa. Today there are 8,200 of them, who are celebrating 25 years this year.
Amnesty International Slovenia is celebrating 25 years, and this year's anniversary is being celebrated at work and in various ways, including with good music. The birthday will be celebrated during the concerts of the bands Terrafolk and Symbolic Orchestra.
You can't go without a cake, and Cake for Amnesty is one of the projects designed to celebrate. With the project, people are invited to bake a cake, invite their loved ones to a gathering, take a photo together (the cake bears the inscription All the best Amnesty) and three members also sign the current petition. Another project within the framework of the birthday is a commemorative plaque on the building of the Prešeren Theater in Kranj, which will henceforth inform all passers-by that Amnesty International Slovenia is born there.
In addition to the above, in Prešeren's theater in Kranj performed the show again 25,671 about deleted.
