Can you imagine that your creative studio would float on water, and the shape would resemble an egg? Today, we plan new space concepts in cooperation with nature and environmental preservation. Artist Stephen Turner, in collaboration with SPUD Group and PAD Studio, designed the "Exbury Egg", an egg-shaped micro-home that floats on water. He lives and creates there right now.
This one wooden floating house on the water offers space for creative thinking and creation inside and outside the space. Inside, we find only the most necessary elements that we use on a daily basis; shower, stove, seat, maximally used storage and hammock. "Exbury Egg" uses as the only source of energy solar energy. The natural color of the wood of the floating house creates a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation and harmony with nature.
The shape of the house attracts attention and at the same time perfectly adapts to the environment. It allows the owner a direct experience and an experience in full contact with the natural cycle and process of nature. It is designed to be moored like a boat that rises and falls according to generated tides.
The life of artist Stephen Turner can from July 15, 2013 to July 14, 2014 you follow on his blog during the creative process of creating and living with nature. How do you think he survived the storm and how does he make coffee every morning? Check it out on the blog http://exburyegg.me/.
