Ana Desetnica is celebrating 15 years, which is an opportunity to look back on the past and show again, not only in the two largest Slovenian cities, but on the streets of eight other Slovenian cities, why she managed to attract so many enthusiastic street spectators in her work. In the beginning, the festival functioned in such a way that it did not present the schedule and location of a certain performance to the townspeople and visitors, building on the surprise. As unexpected guests, we stood in the street, and sometimes the pantomime, improvisation, musical play or fire game ended before we could really understand what was going on. This year too, Ana Desetnica devotes quite a bit of space to such street interventions. Without looking at the program booklet, unannounced, completely unexpected, we may be caught in a street action in the middle of a city walk. Part of the program will not only be a surprise, as we can already see some key points. Ana Monro Theater is preparing Moljerada. The top and renowned Spanish group Kamchatka is coming as a guest with a marching show of the same name. The most numerous, with more than 80 members, will be the participation from Ghent, Belgium. The cultural center Bij' De Wieze Gasten presents in De Propere Fanfare exceptional musicians of many skills, whose performance is a real spectacle. The Czech VOSA theater of circus arts shows that no dream is "too high". From Sardinia comes Theater en vol with the Urban Harmonization Brigade, from Japan Senmaru & Yuki, from Iran Pazirik theater group with stories of the Persian night, and guests from Turkey will tell their stories in the traditional dengbei technique. Mexican mariachis from the band Cornisa20 will also be on the streets, Australian court jester Jolly Goodfellow, Dutch De Stijle Wand will present their take on the funfair, and the British Signdance Collective on the Olympic Games... With all the foreign names, there is almost no room left for local artists, even though they it won't be little. As part of the festival, there will also be an EWO performance fair and an international multidisciplinary recycling workshop.
