New York, unfiltered female conversations and evening cocktails that merge into morning coffees – And Just Like That ... is back with a third season and, let's be honest, we never really left. The continuation of the legendary series Sex and the City, which now follows the main characters in their "mature" but no less dramatic life period, remains one of the most anticipated television returns of this year. And for good reason – because friendship never gets old, sex is not just for the young, and because every generation has its own version of "who's this now?".
This time we “And Just Like That…” Twelve new episodes await, in which Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and their expanded team will navigate emotional turbulence, intergenerational clashes, fashion risks and of course – the eternal battle with reality. But beware: even though the years have passed, the energy of the series has not diminished. On the contrary – it has only become more witty, critical and, at times, liberatingly honest. The third season promises everything that made us fall in love with the series – with a few additional layers of complexity, a pinch of irony and a mature outlook on life that still manages to surprise.
What awaits us in the new season of And Just Like That...?
Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, Seema and Lisa find themselves once again at the center of a whirlwind of urban life, love affairs and friendship dramas – all in their saucy fifties. The series, which unabashedly delves into the realities of aging, sexuality and (still) searching for “the one”, remains faithfully urban, glitzy and emotionally charged.
While shoes may be a little more comfortable than they were twenty years ago, the problems – and relationships – are far from over. The season promises even more feminine energy, unexpected twists and conversations you'd never say in front of your grandmother.
The cast we (still) love
Our iconic heroines remain in the lead roles:
- Sarah Jessica Parker like Carrie (still in love with shoes),
- Cynthia Nixon like Miranda (who is now seeking a balance between career, love, and activism),
- Kristin Davis like Charlotte (a champion of control – especially over children and decor),
- together with Sarito Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Cathy Ang, Mehcad Brooks and many other famous faces.
Yes, too John Corbett as Aidan is here again - which means Carrie will once again have to choose between (over)complicated emotions and a tidy wardrobe.
A creative team that knows how to capture the spirit of the city
The series is led by Michael Patrick King, which is together with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and the other executive producers managed to keep the DNA of the original series, but add a more mature tone and a more modern perspective on life in the big city. The basics remain the same: friendship is the new romance, lunch is the new therapy, and shoes – yes, shoes are still sacred.
For the nostalgic, it is worth remembering: Sex in the city he created Darren Star, based on the book Candace Bushnell, and from then on, nothing was the same again.
Where to watch?
The first two seasons And in the blink of an eye... are now available for marathon viewing (ideally with wine and pajamas) on the platform Max, and season three joins on May 30th – just in time for summer binges.
