This year's annual concert will be held on May 19 at 7 p.m. in the Slovenian Philharmonic. It will be dedicated to novelties and existing works based on the texts of William Shakespeare.
The first part of the concert will be a summary of the project "William Shakespeare in music and words", which has been going on for the whole season, with which the choir wants to bring the texts of Shakespeare's great creations to listeners in an innovative way through music and dramatically performed scenes, and to enrich its current concert re-creation with contemporary vocal works. most of which are performed on Slovenian soil for the first time. This time, APZ Tone Tomšič will confirm the high artistic level and cultural diversity by collaborating with top, already established artists.
In the second part of the concert, the choir will present part of the general program of this season, with which they perform concerts at home and abroad, and some of these compositions are specially prepared for participation in international competitions. The annual concert will be rounded off with modern arrangements of Slovenian folk songs, which they hope will become part of the repertoire of other choirs in the future.
