What types of apps are draining your battery, are complete wastes of your time, and which are wise to avoid.
Thanks to the sea of applications, our smartphone can tell us literally everything we are interested in. Installing applications for a specific task has almost become a practice. Just to monitor the weather, the phone store will bombard us with a variety of applications from different developers. But few people think that any of these applications could also help us did harm.
A wide selection of applications gives non-addicts the opportunity to enter the list as well your own, seemingly harmless application, which perhaps serves its purpose more than perfectly. But what is important is what is happening in the background. A computer virus infection sometimes resulted in extremely slow device performance. The trick with modern digital infections is that while the device is infected, it works undisturbed. In the background is a Trojan horse collects data about the user and them sends to the wrong people.
Our list consists of themed applications, which are in the past already had problems with infections with viruses or are known for the fact that the phone they are of no use absolutely nothing. At most, yes they slow down and they are battery draining. With the arrival of a new type of malicious code "Joker” and we added a list of known applications that were removed from digital stores due to infection.
The best prevention is to download all applications through the official store Google Play or App store. Always check the rating of the developer and the number of app downloads. Do not download an application with a low number of "streams" and a bad rating.
Antivirus programs
As long as we do not go to questionable websites on the Internet and do not download applications from unknown developers, then an antivirus program on a smartphone is definitely we don't need. At least not the ones from the crowd unknown developers. Sometimes an antivirus program can be the work of rogues who through it they steal personal information from the phone. In addition, they can detect you false infections and they ask for an update to some sort of PRO version. Which means they shamelessly ask you for in-app banking transactions, which is a trap.
System optimization applications
The operating system on the phone itself tries to regulate the most optimal operation of the device. A few generations ago, every phone with the Android system also got some kind of interface to optimize and relieve the system. Separate programs therefore are not necessary. And they never worked very well either. At most they are just consume a lot of battery and displayed a lot of ads.
Disk defragmentation applications
What makes sense for conventional spinning hard drives in computers doesn't mean it makes sense for SSD discs. Due to the "scattering" of the data on the spinning disk, conventional hard drives spend more time to find this data. Defragmentation therefore speeds up the normal spinning disk. SSD has no moving parts and reads data undisturbed, regardless of fragmentation/dispersion. We have similar "disks". also in phones, that's why these programs are completely useless. Some also ask for access to personal information, which is suspicious. With these types of discs, it is only important that they do not overfill, because they do we extend the lifespan.
Nonsensical apps like a lie detector
These are one of those apps that we don't take seriously and download to hang out with our friends. In principle, they are not harmful, although it may happen that they require access to the address book, messages, etc. to work. In this case, them we do not install it in any way.
Known applications infected with the “Joker” malicious code. An infection with this code means that it does not originate from the user they steal money. Due to access to phone features such as sending SMS messages and calling, can the user in the background subscribe to a paid service.
Social network applications
As users of such applications, we must be aware from the very beginning that they will be about us collected personal data. Such and other affairs are not few, especially on the side Facebook. They also love these apps they crunch ours battery, as they like to run in the background and bombard us with notifications. Of course, you will not give up the latter. However, you can limit their operation and control the data they collect about you. It is also recommended to limit their active refresh to conserve your smartphone's energy.
Applications intended for children
Extremely popular apps like video app TikTok, which is intended for adolescents and children even under 13 years of age - unfortunately they represent a potential gathering place for pedophiles and many others with nefarious intentions. That's why you monitor the use of the latter on your children's smartphones. Still other applications are also based on sending anonymous messages, like say Ask.fm, which can quickly turn into insulting users and consequently cyberbullying. So let's be careful. Carefully monitor your children's phones and request access to content and keep passwords.
