The Aquaris E4.5, a smartphone from BQ, is the first smartphone with the Ubuntu operating system, which was looking for its "host" for more than two years, and Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, finally found it in the said model of the Spanish telecommunications the colossus. The phone brings to the market, what we call in political jargon, an alternative, because it is neither "left" (Android) nor "right" (iOS), but a breath of fresh air with many advantages, such as flexibility and functionality.
BQ's Aquaris E4.5 is the first smartphone equipped with an operating system Ubuntu Mobile. The latter derives from the Ubuntu operating system for laptops and desktop computers and servers, naturally adapted to smaller and touch-sensitive screens. The Ubuntu platform, after a long hesitation on the part of phones, however also dips its toe into the world of smartphones, while BQ was the first to adopt it, which in addition to mobile phones also offers tablets and e-readers. Indeed, one of his Androids has defected to the opposite camp.
Such a smartphone Aquaris E4.5 it only changes belief, but not external images and skeletons. This remains a 4.5-inch or 11.4-centimeter screen with a 1.3 Ghz quad-core processor MediaTek, 8 GB of system memory, support for mobile networks 4G/LTE, a camera with a resolution of 8 million pixels and a webcam that has 5. For 169 euros this is an exceptional offer that will soon be available from us as well, but at the moment it is for sale only in limited quantities (these quick sale/”flash sale”).

Along with the basic version, there will also be a more powerful one, with octa-core processor and other upgrades. It will clearly be necessary to untie the scrotum a little more for her (270 euros). It will need Ubuntu OS otherwise own applications, but because it supports HTML5, will not reject existing ones. Is that how a duel becomes a triathlon- Android vs. iOS vs. Ubuntu– if we dare to predict that Ubuntu will get even more powerful hosts in the future?
