AS House pays tribute to the Cycladic architecture and natural environment.
AS House, standing on a Greek island Paros overlooking the Aegean Sea, brings classic Cycladic architecture into the 21st century. It consists of a collection of smaller buildings that are placed linearly across the land. It has a "washed" white exterior a tribute to the local people, and the addition of stone gives it an archaic character. The interior follows this horizontal layout, and it is in every room maximum use of the view of the coast. Of course, there is also a series of covered porches and open terraces, including terrace by the pool, which provide an outdoor stay surrounded by a beautiful view of the sea.
And what makes this project unique? As already mentioned, it is about reinterpretation of the Cycladic architectural language, for the dialogue between the project and its natural environment, as well as for the design of a hospitable, but still Doric building.
