Asparagus Month in the Karst

From April 13 to May 13, nine Karst catering providers, in collaboration with Karst winemakers, will enrich their offer with a rich selection of culinary delicacies prepared with asparagus. The project "Asparagus Month in the Karst" is taking place for the fifth year in a row. 

This year, we will start the project with an exhibition of photographs of asparagus and other motifs from the Karst by renowned photographer Bogdan Macarol, which will open on Friday, April 13th at 7 pm at the Pliskovica Youth Hotel.

At the same time, nine of the most well-known catering providers will enrich their offer with culinary delicacies combined with asparagus. Among them, in addition to traditional Karst dishes, such as frtajla with Karst pancetta and asparagus, you will pamper your taste buds with the most unusual combinations, such as koporivni pockets stuffed with domestic rooster on asparagus cream, sheep's milk mousse with asparagus granita, roasted Karst lamb with fresh herbs, new fries and asparagus statue, asparagus ice cream, ... The food and drink offer is therefore at the level of the best restaurants, while the price is affordable for every asparagus-enthusiastic guest. The prices of the tasting menus range from €15 to €35.

Karst restaurateurs are not the only ones participating in the varied spring offer of asparagus dishes during the month of asparagus. Tourist farms and numerous top winemakers have also joined them.
