The Lagonda Vision is Aston Martin's latest concept, heralding the future of design at the brand. It predicts design guidelines for as many as two models that will see the light of day by 2023.
Aston Martin says it is refreshed Lagonda Vision Concept the world's first self-powered luxury car clean energy, no emissions. The head of design at this luxury brand, Marek Reichman, said that the Lagonda has an extremely bold image and that because of electric drive there is no longer a need for a standard form, as we have been used to since the days of horses and carriages. He added that since there is no longer a need to provide a large space for the engine in front of the driver, designers can be more bold. The batteries cover the bottom of the car, and everything above that level is left to the individual's imagination.
Reichman and his team collaborated with an English furniture designer to design the interior of the concept David Linley. The interior was designed from the inside out as they really wanted to take advantage of the freedom in design. They are interesting concept door, which open upwards and outwards, while also opening part of the roof. Thus, passengers have unhindered entry and exit from the car. The seats are placed on the sides of the interior and not on the floor, as is currently the practice. All this simply because we have an unobstructed space on the floor. The steering wheel can be moved to the left or right side of the car, but when the Lagonda v autonomous driving mode, the steering wheel moves towards the dashboard. With a single charge of the battery, the concept Aston Martin can transport 644 kilometers a long distance.
At Aston Martin, they wanted to show with the concept that the Lagonda would do just fine in the real world, and that there was no longer a need for cars to continue to be designed according to the classic approach where the engine is in the front and then the rest of the car is shaped around him. The Lagonda Vision Concept proves that concepts modern and luxurious however they match and are in no way mutually exclusive.
