Luxury brand Aston Martin has been very busy lately. They have set up a new factory in Wales, are busily refurbishing and upgrading a range of cars, dealing with housing and even a submarine. Now they have presented the Volante Vision Concept, which is not a car, but an idea of a luxurious flying future.
Aston Martin Volante Vision Concept is another one of the studies that we can see more and more often at Aston Martin. The study required expertise from Cranfield University, Cranfield Aerospace Solutions and Rolls-Royce engineers. In this case, it is not a luxury brand under the umbrella of the Bavarian BMW, but rather the company Rolls-Royce, which deals with space technology. The aforementioned partners want to use a concept 'airplane' to convey a luxurious form of transport among the clouds.
The Volante Vision Concept is not just another ultra-light flying creation, because it has in it the latest 'space' technology, it is electrified and full autonomous technologies. All this makes it even more conceptual and from the future. Aston Martin undertook the project and the study simply because of the awareness that they would be in the future traffic stoppers something even more everyday than today. They want to find an alternative that will dilute heavy traffic and allow people to go faster and more comfortable travel. So maybe one day we'll be able to live quite far from work and still on time came to the workplace.
