Ski hotels are, as the name suggests, usually close to ski slopes. The Audemars Piguet Hotel des Horlogers also offers a ski slope on the roof. Yes, you read that right!
Architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group has revealed plans for a new hotel Audemars Piguet Hotel des Horlogers. This one will be made to order Audemars Piguet, which makes luxury watches, built in a Swiss valley Vallee de Joux. The location is not accidental, as it is just a stone's throw from the museum, which presents the history of the Swiss watchmaking giant.
The public's attention is mainly attracted by the unique design. The hotel is designed in such a way that in winter it allows visitors to ski from their room to the museum or the Vallee de Joux ski area.
The hotel will have approx 50 rooms. A bar, a swimming pool, a conference hall and two restaurants will also be available to guests. They can be found in the lower part of the building. The hotel will also be an excellent vantage point. From its interior you will be able to see the village and the picturesque landscape.
The construction of the hotel has already started, but it will take some time. Audemars Piguet Hotel des Horlogers is expected to welcome its first guests in 2018 2020.
