Many of us still remember Audi's A2 model, which did not stand out in particular, but was an extremely useful car for city centers. The time has come for its modern version, which is, of course, electric.
The Shanghai Motor Show brought a new concept Audi that is more suitable for city centers than long trips. Audi AI:ME will remind many of the Audi A2, which is now rarely seen on our roads. His modern interpretation is something completely different, but they remain compact proportions, as for a city car as well befitting. At a glance, it could be presented as more prestigious the Volkswagen ID version or the SEAT el-Born. He shares a car with the aforementioned the MEB electric platform, and the engine on the rear axle should provide up to 170 horsepower. This is more than enough, as Audi AI:ME should only need a particle of this power, for daily transportation around the city.
Audi AI:ME was truly developed with thought in mind instead. We don't need to go to the city sudden acceleration, even less so high speeds. Audi believes that the production version of the presented concept will drive most of the time at a speed between 20 and 70 kilometers per hour and that too on shorter distances. With this in mind, they gave it a battery with a capacity of 'just' 65 kWh, which could be completely enough for city use. The design is completely futuristic, which lets us know absence the B-pillar and rear doors that open into vice versa directions. Penetrating LED lights and use real plants inside, which Audi says they used the first, are additional steps against of the future. The concept was conceived as a highly autonomous car that will have the fourth level of autonomous systems and will thus be the majority of the driver's work, can done it myself.
