Although many of the obscenely wealthy rulers are sitting on oil and other natural resources and their fortunes are constantly changing, most maintain their positions relative to years past. And although monarchs in Europe no longer have the same influence as, for example, in Arab countries, as they are surviving political figures, many are still basking in wealth.
