Award-winning designer excesses in 2013

In 2013, Matjaž Berger's team also stood out, creating the visual image of Wagner's opera The Flying Dutchman.

The end of the year is, among other things, the time to review the year and various important awards. This year, the expert jury of the Society of Designers of Slovenia selected and awarded design surpluses from the fields of graphic and industrial design, scenic design and multimedia solutions, which stand out for their innovation, visibility, usability and functionality. At the central event, the title of honorary member was also awarded to Zmag Novak and the lifetime achievement award to Branko Uršič.

According to the expert jury, they stood out in 2013 Matjaž Berger and his team, who designed the visual image of Wagner's opera The Flying Dutchman, Saba Skaberne, Aleksandra Saška Gruden, Urban Jesih and Vesna Spreitzer for the multifaceted Zidnice project, Aljaž Vindis with the journal's Objective column and the Aqua Viva vacuum cleaner he designed Marjan Žitnik. He became an honorary member Novak wins, who has been running the Design Month design event for ten years. The designer received the lifetime achievement award Branko Uršič, which is certainly one of the main actors in the field of Slovenian design. His work includes many exceptional furniture products, for which he received a whole series of awards and which for decades represented a characteristic image of the public spaces of the former Yugoslavia.
