Babies from the cover of Nirvana's Nevermind album 25 years later.

Are you curious about how the baby from the cover of Nirvana's cult Nevermind album looks 25 years later? Spencer Elden, who in 1991 as a four-month-old baby posed in a swimming pool (due to the fear that the baby's nudity would offend someone, the Geffen label covered the delicate part with a sticker), in honor of Nirvana and the venerable anniversary of its second album, posed again underwater and recreated the famous scene, except without the US bill on the hook. The Nevermind album cover was named the third most legendary of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

It passes 25 years, since it is Nirvana released a cult album Nevermind (September 24 1991) – he sold himself in a circulation of 24 million – which adorns it just like that the iconic cover of Spencer Elden's naked baby underwater. The photograph was taken by a still unknown photographer at the time Kirk Weddie, who asked Spencer's parents if he could photograph him underwater for the cover of the then also unknown band. For an underwater shot with a baby about to bite baited with a dollar bill, it took less than a minute (he got the shot he wanted after just 15 seconds), but the parents were left with little 200 US dollars.

He is 25 years old today on the quarter century of the album Spencer Elden as a tribute to the band, he jumped into the pool again and posed underwater again, which was the third time he had done something similar already on the occasion of the album's 15th anniversary. On this occasion, he tried to get as close as possible to the scene that had been brought to him international fame. "To the photographer (John Chapple, op. p) I suggested that I should be naked this time as well, but he thought it would be strange, so he suggested me a swimsuit," Elden described the photo shoot, adding that he felt a little strange that it had become so part of history, but at the same time adds that it's very cool to be a part of something so important, even if you don't remember the event. He says he likes Nirvana but prefers them The Clash. Maybe that's why he didn't get rich with photography this time either, since his fee was probably around the original fee.
