Back on Plastik with Paul Langley

After a decade of neglecting the channels molded into the plastic discs, along which the diamond needle went and picked out the grooves, what someone previously spent hours and hours creating on "machines". The price of the latter hovered around several thousand marks per piece.

The product, which only the most persistent, who renounced a lot of nonsense, came to, then traveled on a DAT cassette to a mastering studio in some other country, where the product was prepared for cutting into the matrix. The matrix already engraved in a third country then traveled to the other side of the world to be printed, from where the well-known vinyls came out. These, however, were far from finishing their journey to the listener, as they were again sent from the factory to the next country, where the distribution house was located. From here, the records were distributed to all the world's vinyl shops. 

Not to mention the charm that Deeya's sports day had at the record shop. The nearest record shop could be several hours away. The sports day dragged on from early morning until late at night. All this just to make the dance floor of the club shake, where all those who had no idea how the process goes from the brain of the artist through the vinyl to the ears of the listener, danced. 

We neglected everything by digitizing this process, in which various sound masters were involved, who made sure that the sound recording ended up on a piece of plastic. Let's not mention how we just got lazy when we started carrying laptops, or even worse USB keys, to performances. We replaced 30 kg of music with three grams, started staring at the screens, forgot about the listeners and, with the hyper production, about the quality and effort that the DJ put into his career.

Due to all of the above, we at the EUFORIA club decided to restore the charm and reputation of the legendary VINYL with the BACK ON PLASTIC evening. The resident of the evenings will be one of our more skilled board riders. DJ PSIHO will try to conjure up that real techno atmosphere that Slovenia misses so much with the carefully selected guests of the evenings. Letz rock tha house!!
