We will be able to see Marco Spada's rarely performed comic opera live this Sunday! Cineplexx cinemas will provide a live broadcast from the Moscow Bolshoi Theater and a great atmosphere.
Comic opera by Marco Spada the composer Daniel François Esprit Auber has been baptized for years 1852 in Paris and achieved great success. She convinced with a lively, adventure-filled story about to the bandit Marc Spada, who robs rich townspeople and aristocracy across Rome. It gets complicated when his daughter Angela fall in love with a prince Frederick, and when their love is about to materialize, it comes to light whose daughter she really is.
French choreographer Pierre Lacotte turned the story into ballet. The premiere in 1981 at the Opera House in Rome was a huge success, as the unique, legendary Rudolf Nureyev. The otherwise rarely performed work - previously it had only been turned into a ballet by Joseph Mazilier in 1857 - is now on display in a choreographic, scenic and costume refresh. Again, Pierre Lacotte, who is from Moscow, took care of this Bolshoi Theater invited to help them incorporate Marco Spada into their latest repertoire.
The ballet premiered in November last year and was a huge success, as it included almost the entire Bolshoi ballet ensemble together with its champions. They dance in the main roles David Hallberg, an American who is the first foreigner invited to dance in the Bolshoi Ballet Ensemble, Yevgenija Obrazova and Olga Smirnova, which is considered to be one the best ballet dancers in the world.
Magnificent and unique - both technically and dramaturgically - with complex choreography, change of scenography, the presence of animals on the stage, as well as the pantomimic expressiveness of the dancers and the lively story, Marco Spada, a ballet in three acts, is definitely an experience not to be missed. Also because the transmission from Moscow takes place in HD pictures and with crystal clear sound.
