Bansko is one of the few ski centers where only a road separates modern hotels from the old part of the city, which is under UNESCO protection.
With more than 70 kilometers of perfectly prepared trails and 25 ski lifts, the center, located at the foot of Mount Pirin, is an excellent starting point for getting to know Bulgarian nature and culture. The largest ski center in Bulgaria will officially start the winter season on December 14, and the biggest attraction is the visit of the legendary Italian skier Alberto Tomba, who will Banska he likes to give back so much that they even named one of the ski slopes after the former Olympic and world champion. Just his descent down the ski slope La Bomba, whose godfather he became in 2003, will officially mark the start of the ski season. Hedonist and playboy Tomba will be joined by four former great skiers. Traditionally, the party will be attended by Marc Girardelli, the only skier who won as many as five big crystal globes, in Bansko but they have already accepted him as their own.
In addition to him, the VIPs will include Petar Popangelov, the best Bulgarian skier of all time, Frenchman Luc Alphand, who became famous as a cross-country skier and rally driver, and also our star, Jure Košir. The organizers of the events in Bansko invite all students to take a break on the ski slope and especially next to it, in fact in to the Happy End club, which is located next to the gondola station, already the weekend before the official opening of the ski season. On December 8, there will be a big student party with the biggest young Bulgarian stars. Tickets cost 25 euros, and the price includes consumption in the amount of 15 euros.
