More than 2,000 sailboats will set sail at the traditional European regatta, which has been held in Trieste since 1969. From October 5 to 14, you will be able to sail or watch the spectacle.
Barkovlja woman is the largest European regatta that takes place every year second Sunday in October in the Gulf of Trieste. The event is intended for all lovers of the sea and sailing, as it beckons to the sea almost 2000 sailing boats.
They were winners in the first 20 years sailors from local clubs, but today the regatta is more and more international, because sailors from all over the world participate, among which the fight for the first places was ignited. Same as last year, the regatta will be held on a quadrangular course and will be long 13 nautical miles. The starting line is set between Barcola and Miramar. But this year, the organizers will also prepare other different events on the occasion of their 50th anniversary.
