Bobri is the 6th Ljubljana festival of cultural and artistic education, which is coming very soon to the delight of the young, the younger and the youngest.
"Dear bubbles and bubbles! Between the New Year and Lent, Ljubljana is occupied by beavers, remarkable rodents, who this year for the sixth year invite you to theaters and concert halls, cinemas, libraries, museums and galleries... To those corners of the city where culture resides." This is how the organizers addressed the youth, the younger and the youngest, for whom the Beavers are primarily intended. Beavers are theatre, music, fine arts, film and literature. All events are aimed at the active involvement of young visitors in artistic creation, which, among other things, is ensured by cultural and artistic workshops for the youngest. This year's Beavers focus on two themes. The first is the movie and the second is Emona. The film is also because this year is a year of anniversaries – Kinodvor will mark ninety years of cinema on Kolodvorska Street in Ljubljana, while Slovenska Kinoteka is celebrating fifty years. Roman Emona is especially in the center because it will celebrate its two thousandth anniversary in 2014. This is a jubilee! A beaver, dressed in a Roman toga, peeks out from the poster, and his head is decorated with a wreath of olive branches.
The festival will be opened by the play Kuzma the Dwarf Gets an Award, and from here on out, a fifteen-day explosion of events awaits us. There will be beavering at the castle, at the workshops the little ones will recycle, dance and more, among the films we will be able to see Kauwboy, Pika and Packa and the film Meseček, and during the performances there will be Ostržek, Muca Shoemaker, Zlati kluček, Vidkova shirt, The Enchanted Teapot and Juri Muri dances in Africa for the premiere. As every year, the festival will end in the Šiška Cinema, this time with Neco Falk, Mačko Muri and Muca Maca.
