Bela and Sebastian by director Nicolas Vanier is a heartwarming story about growing up in the unspoiled nature of the Alps, where time seems to stand still. It probably would have, if the Second World War and the arrival of the Nazis had not intervened in the idyll. The reserved six-year-old Sebastijan grows up here with his grandfather, who by chance leads him to a large white Pyrenean mountain shepherd. Although they share almost the same qualities, such as kindness and benevolence, they are often put to the test by the cruelty of others.
The story takes place between the second world war, under Nazi occupation. It happens high in the alpine mountains, where the snow is still untainted, where chamois they hunt marmot, where the peaks touch the clouds. Until the invasion of the Germans it is mountain village serenity personified. It is a story about a lonely six-year-old boy To Sebastian (he plays it Felix Bossuet, who was chosen from among 2,400 candidates) who comes across a wild dog, domesticates it and names it v White. That is an adventure o unbreakable friendship, an eventful journey of a boy looking for his mother, an old man chasing the past, a rebel yearning for love, a young woman yearning for new experiences, a German lieutenant looking for forgiveness. This is life Bela and Sebastian, a large white one Pyrenean Mountain Shepherd. Sebastian defend White in front of everyone and everything, thus he is present and experiences the escape of the Jews over the mountains, injustice, death and forgiveness.
The movie Bela and Sebastian is made according to the book template of the same name by French author Cecile Aubery. It premiered in France in December, and has been seen by almost three million viewers so far. It's a great movie for all lovers of four-legged friends.
The pre-premiere of the film took place in a charitable spirit, in cinemas Cineplexx in Koper and Maribor, and they received the proceeds from ticket sales shelters on the coast and in Maribor. The film is coming to the regular schedule of cinemas April 3rd.
