Even the birds on the branch are chirping about the positive effects of sex, there is nothing new here. What you may not have known, however, is that these effects can last for 2 full days. The results of a study confirming this were published in the journal Psychological Science.
The research compared the data 2 studies, who dealt with the question of the frequency of sexual relations between newlyweds and their satisfaction. It participated in both researches together 214 couples. The researchers were surprised by the fact that couples do not have sex every day, so they began to wonder why this is so. They found that, on average, couples have 4 sexual relations every one 14 days and that the level of satisfaction is highest on the day of intercourse, but also lasts for the third day after intercourse.
It probably goes without saying that couples who experienced a higher level of sexual satisfaction shared similar feelings about their relationship as well.
