Bentley Continental GT V8: less can be more

The third generation Bentley Continental GT is ultimately only available with more efficient and for many more attractive motor. New ones 4.0-liter V 8-cyl the engine is so refined that it has almost the same capacity like W 12-cylinder, but it makes a difference significantly more economical. Due to the cylinder deactivation system, it is possible to drive only with use when driving calmly four, instead eight cylinders, and the entire operation of switching off or on takes only 20 milliseconds. With the help of the mentioned technology, we can transport with a full tank of fuel over 800 kilometers. For a normal 'diesel' this is no problem, for a car with a 'heavier character', 550 horsepower (404 kW) and 770 newton meters torque, but this is definitely not whooping cough. An advantage of a smaller engine is definitely in the fact that we will longer time enjoying driving and ga less spent at gas stations.

The advantage of the V 8-cylinder is also in its 'tone', which is deeper than that of the W 12-cylinder engine. The markings on the fenders and the tailpipes let us know that we're driving a V8 Continental. It has an 8-cylinder two doubles, while it has a 12-cylinder two oval conclusion. To accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h needs 8 cylinder Continental 4.0 seconds, and the final velocity is 318 km/h. Due to greater efficiency, the drive will be driven on most of the time rear wheel pair, and if we need four-wheel drive, advanced electronics will take care of it. This is another reason why the Continental is even more efficient with the new engine. The Bentley Continental GT V8, in coupe and convertible versions, will be available in beginning of next year.
