Who says old people just sit around muttering to themselves how corrupt today's youth are?! The collective called LATA 65 breaks this stubborn stereotype and proves that years are just a number. It is about a group of grandmothers who, instead of crocheting, pick up a spray and draw graffiti!
Who says it is graffiti an activity that is only in the domain of (too) daring young people? Grandmothers from the collective THE YEAR 65 they prove that even the elderly can wield a spray, and that their domain is not just croaking and nagging, that today's youth are without a moral compass. These grandmothers not only understand young people, they also act like young people, because they do youthful spirit more than obviously left. That's why they don't sit in retirement homes and wait for time to slip away, but rather grab a spray and they draw on the walls. Like their grandsons and granddaughters.

The collective of midwives LATA 65 operates in the capital of Portugal Lisbon and they make it up women older than 65 years. Through their activity, they are changing our view of the elderly. These grandmothers are cooler than many of your friends. And how did LATA 65 come about? The story is pretty simple. Retired people have a lot of time at their disposal and many pensioners do not want to just sit idly by and rather try something new. The workshops are held for two days in a row, during which the midwives are taught o history of graffiti, drawing techniques ... At the end of the course, they create their own the first graffiti on the walls provided by the city gallery Galeria de Arte Urbana.
