BigRep was the first to make a 3D printed, airless motorcycle tire that was suitable for everyday use. Now comes the next step with the NERA project, and the result is the world's first 3D-printed electric motorcycle.
BigRep NERA is an ambitious project that combines already acquired knowledge in the field 3D printing, adding new and new innovations to this. PRO FLEX TPU represents at this moment the most superb technology of heat-treated plastic and polyurethane, which is completely flexible and it can be designed according to desire. The first step was manufacturing airless tires for a motorcycle, and the next logical step is, of course, production of the whole motor bikes.
They succeeded in this, as all the components are 3D-printed, with an exception electronic drive system. Futuristic design, advanced electric drive and the use of composite materials allow the NERA motorcycle to stands out as one of the most innovative motorcycles we saw to now.
