Emily Nelson (Lively) is no longer just a mysterious femme fatale – she is now also a fugitive criminal, ready for a new game of deception, this time in the company of a dangerously seductive groom, played by none other than Michele Morrone (365 Days).
So the film Another Simple Favor takes us straight to Capri – an island of love, fashion and inevitable secrets. And if the first film was like an elegant martini with a poisonous aftertaste, then the sequel is a fiery mix of aperitif, champagne and a drop of blood in a silk scarf.
Another Simple Favor: Fashion, Revenge, and Melodrama on Capri
Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) is now a successful crime novelist and amateur Instagram detective, but when Emily invites her to her wedding, she realizes it won't be your usual weekend of flowers and limoncello. Emily is marrying Italian tycoon Giacomo Bellini (Morrone), a luxury vineyard and nightclub owner whose charm is as strong as his red wine. But beneath the silk tuxedos and Versace veils, something dark - and deadly - lurks.
The film is full of luxury: romantic sunset boat rides, lavish aperitifs with views, and music that awakens all the senses. The soundtrack is a true ode to Italian glamour, creating the perfect soundscape for intrigue and sweet betrayal. Iconic? Absolutely.
And if you think you know where the story is going – you’re wrong. A murder that occurs before the exchange of rings sets off a chain of events in which no one is who they say they are. Capri becomes a place of struggle between past and future, between love and revenge. Stephanie will have to use all her cunning to get home alive – and maybe even with a new book in mind.

The movie Another Simple Favor premiered at the SXSW festival on March 7, 2025. It will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video starting May 1, 2025.
Fashion, revenge and murderous spree
