Bled days are the three days of the year when Bled is too small for everyone. Between 22 and 24 July 2016, when Bled Days 2016 will be held, it will be no different! Once again, home-made crafts and handicrafts will be on display, musicians will take to the stage like hot embers, and the highlight will be the Bled night, when lights in eggshells will flood Lake Bled. For the second time, the Tastes of Bled will also be part of the Bled Days, which will introduce you to traditional cuisine.
Bled Days 2016 already traditionally mark the peak of the summer tourist season in Bled. Three-day event (from 22 to 24 July 2016) will reach its peak on the traditional Saturday night, when it will first be in the glow around 15 thousand lights in eggshells (these are traditionally prepared by a local Andrej Vidic, and provides him with shells confectionary Šmon) glowed Lake Bled, and later the magnificent fireworks will light up the whole of Bled, which will definitely be bursting at the seams that day. The lowering of lights on the lake has a long tradition. That's how we're supposed to celebrate lake holiday, the birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph and then King Alexander of Yugoslavia.

For the culinary part Bled Days 2016 will be organized by Bled's local partners, united under the destination brand Tastes of Bled, which takes care of the revival of traditional cuisine, the expansion of knowledge about traditional dishes, prepared and presented in a modern way, and their promotion. Visitors to the event in Blej will have the whole weekend in principle street food available traditional local specialties, prepared from fresh and seasonal ingredients with an emphasis on the sustainable component.
