BMW brought the BMW 2002 Hommage model to this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este by Lake Como, paying tribute to the legend of the BMW 2002 Turbo. It is another in a long line of Hommage concepts. Last year we were able to feast our eyes on the 3.0 CSL Hommage model, but this year it pays tribute to one of the most important models in the history of BMW, from which the 3 Series grew.

They were the reason for the preparation of the BMW 2002 Hommage concept the centenary of the Bavarian car giant and the abraham series 02, which also includes the BMW 2002 Turbo. Official information about the concept's engine is unknown, but if rumors are to be believed, it is hidden under the hood 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 272 kW of power, which he borrowed from M2. But the emphasis is not so much on the "machine" as on retro-modern form, which mixes elements of the 2002 Turbo and Coupe.
The front part is wider than the latter, the front is new, the rear is different, complemented by a quartet of exhaust pipes, on which we can recognize many design elements characteristic of the seventies (look shark), and "old" materials such as chrome were replaced carbon fiber. We can't even ignore the characteristic blue color, which reminds us of another era. Wear it 20-inch rims and gold spurs (read: brake calipers), it's compact and low. The BMW 2002 Turbo could not have asked for a better dedication.
