The new most powerful diesel engine recently introduced by BMW got its first host. This is a BMW 7 Series with the 750d badge. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel has four turbochargers instead of three. Like the Bugatti Chiron. Two turbines are designed to operate at lower revs, while two assist at higher revs. Three work all the time, and the fourth is activated for an even stronger thrust when we step on the gas a little more (at least 2,500 revolutions per minute).
BMW 750d boasts as many as four turbines and is the most powerful six-cylinder diesel in the world. His engine can do it 394 horsepower or 290 kilowatts at 4,000 to 4,400 rpm and 760 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. It provides excellent responsiveness in all areas, but above all it is exceptional traction present even at very low revs (450 Nm of torque already at 1,000 revs). It transmits power to the wheels 8-speed gearbox.

Although it is a 1.8-ton "ship", the BMW 750d from 0 to 100 km/h consumes everything 4.6 seconds. The discharges were cut to 149 grams of CO2 per kilometer, which is an extremely impressive figure for a diesel engine. From July 2016 there will be two versions available viz 750d xDrive and 750Ld xDrive.
